International Talent Introduction and Academic Exchanges

Adhering to an open and flexible international talent introduction mechanism, the institute continuously introduces high-level overseas talents relying on platforms such as the National Postdoctoral Research Station and the Overseas Talent Workstation. The institute founded the high-level international journal Electron, which was selected as a high-potential new journal under the Excellence Action Plan for China's Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) Journals, thereby building an international academic exchange platform.

The institute cooperates with the School of International Education of HIT to organize international students to come to Chongqing to participate in the One University, Six Cities, Intangible Cultural Heritage Tour activity, and regularly receives teachers and students from overseas universities to carry out cultural visits and academic exchanges in Chongqing, promoting the cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth. The institute actively undertakes national foreign aid training projects. Seminar on Financial Connectivity and Financial Cooperation Management for the Belt and Road Countries (Chongqing Section) was successfully implemented, with 32 participants including government officials, financial institution executives and enterprise representatives from 12 countries including Azerbaijan, Botswana, Cambodia, Laos, Brazil, Greece, Mongolia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Serbia, Grenada, and North Macedonia, which effectively deepened the Belt and Road co-building countries' understanding of China's financial cooperation and scientific and technological development.

The institute focuses on leveraging the resource advantages of returned overseas talents, and continuously expands international exchanges and talent cooperation channels relying on official platforms such as the Western Returned Scholars Association (Overseas-educated Scholars Association of Chongqing), so as to build a broader platform for international talents. Taking this opportunity, the institute will further integrate the resources of returned overseas talents, and contribute to Chongqing's efforts to build a science and innovation center with national influence and a modern talent highland.
