Research Center Profile
Aligned with China’s strategy for building a manufacturing powerhouse and the development requirements of Chongqing’s “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system, the Industrial Vision Center focuses on the deep integration of artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing to conduct R&D and achievement transformation of core industrial vision technologies. Leveraging the research strengths of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), the center builds an innovation chain of “basic research—technology R&D—industrial application” centering on industrial quality inspection, intelligent perception and quality data analysis. Led by Researcher Chen Bin, the center has an 11-member research team. It has filed 20 invention patents, among which 8 have been granted, and published more than 10 SCI papers, including papers presented at top-tier AI conferences such as CVPR and AAAI. The center is committed to developing human-like innovative technologies for quality inspection, advancing the practical deployment of AI technologies in the manufacturing sector, and delivering technical support for the intelligent transformation of Chongqing’s manufacturing industry.
